Galena Mudroom & Master Suite

We started with the mudroom in this home where we took two separate drop zones and created a long bank of storage cabinets. A closet was taken out and replaced with a utility sink and floating shelves. A fun floor tile and earthy green cabinet color make this utilitarian space fun and beautiful. The split-level staircase is a focal point when you walk further into the home, so we did a dark railing to contrast the white trim. A large piece of artwork welcomes you as you make your way down to the master bedroom. A shiplap wall treatment adds a textural background to the new linen bed. Soft textiles with a light green accent color make this space feel like a relaxing retreat at the end of the day. We added a sliding barndoor to save on space into the bathroom. The vanities were repurposed with new granite countertops. The old jet tub was taken out to make for a larger shower and floating shelves for storage. The footprint of this space didn’t change but was updated with materials that make it feel brand new.
